Aston Hall at Aston-by –Sutton, was built in 1640 for Sir Willoughby Aston and replaced an earlier building on the same site. It was later much improved by Sir Arthur Aston. In 1905 it was in the possession of A.Hervey Talbot J.P. The estate had been in the possession of the Aston and Talbot families since the time of Edward the Confessor. The grounds were landscaped for Hervey Aston by Humphrey Repton c1793.
The Hall was demolished in 1938 and there still remains a Georgian dower house, a dovecot and two lodges within the walled grounds.
